Parent's corner
FAQs- I will add more questions and answers to this part of the site as I get them.
Parents, please do not be shy about emailing me with any questions that you might have about my class or your student's progress in my class.
If my child tells me that they don't have any homework, are they lying to me?
Yes, probably. :)
In all seriousness, ask to see their Remind or Google Classroom account or sign up for it yourself. You can do that by going to the tab for your level of Spanish and following the directions that are on the page. You can also check their grade to see how well they are doing on their HW checks and assignments.
The truth is, even if they don't have a physical assignment to be doing, they should be practicing their vocabulary and looking over their grammar notes Sunday-Thursday.
If I don't speak Spanish, can I still help my student?
Yes! Go online and practice with them or have them teach you their words and phrases.
What is expected of my student in your class?
I expect them to take an active role in my class and do what they need to do in order to be successful. That means that they ask for help when they need it, they participate in class, they collaborate with their classmates, and they enter my class prepared and ready to work.
I am a supportive teacher, but I have high expectations and ask my students to work to the best of their ability in my class. I grade on how well they can perform in language and each student's path to success will be different.
